John Blankenbaker's Germanna History Notes

Note 2421

[Baptisms for Neuenbuerg - 1714, continued.]

This baptism occurs on a sad note.  Joh. Thoma and Anna Maria were the parents of Ursula who was born on 8 November 1714, baptized on 8 November 1714, and died on 8 November 1714.  [This death record is made in the baptismal record, a typical thing to do.  The death rate in the early years is staggering.]

Jerg Martin Schoen and Maria Barbara brought Anna Martha born on 24 November for baptism.  The sponsors were Heinrich Feser, judge at Oberoewisheim, Anna Maria, the wife of Jerg Wendel Wesinger of Oberoewisheim, and Anna Martha Schaiblin(in), a single person.
