In the Baptismal Records that I have reported recently, the village of Oberoewisheim occurs quite often because the residents of Neuenbuerg went to church there. Just a mile or so farther away, there is the village of Unteroewisheim and it also appears fairly often. Since they had their own church, they did not interact as much with the Neuenbuerg residents.
Muenzesheim was the village of residence for about twenty-five of the sponsors. It lies about three miles from Neuenbuerg. It has a Evangelische Church (Lutheran) with records from 1656 to 1977. There is an Ortssippenbuch for it.
Across the hills by minor roads is the village of Menzingen at a distance of about three miles. It too has Evangelische Records from 1605 to 1962. It was mentioned once in the Records.
Another village mentioned once was Gochsheim, which lies about five miles away. It has Evangelische Records from 1660 to 1963.
Another village at a distance of about five miles is Oberacker, which has Evangelische Records from 1567 to 1961.
A village at a distance of about three miles is Odenheim, which has both Evangelische and Catholic Churches. This village is of some interest because the Kessler family lived there and the they usually appear in the Neuenbuerg records with the Germanna people.
There were a few other places, usually mentioned only once, which are of interest. Unfortunately, they often appear in a hard to recognize form. One of these is Heydelheim, which one has to suspect might not be the correct spelling. Still, considering some obvious variants, I have not found this. One would suspect that it was not far away, since the sponsors had little time to respond to a baptism.
