Join us for a festive day of history, fun, and community at Salubria, where the scenic grounds transform into a lively celebration of Virginia’s past and present.
This inaugural event launches Culpeper’s 250th History Week as part of the county’s VA250 commemorations.
What to Expect:
- Historical reenactors and living history demonstrations
- Join in Colonial Dancing with our talented Dance Master!
- Meet historical figures like Rev. John Thompson
- Meet a Revolutionary Era Doctor
- Learn about the scents worn by George Washington, Lafayette, and Dolly Madison from a historical perfumer
- Play Colonial Era games on Salubria’s lawn, led by the Rappahannock Colonial Heritage Society
- See Blacksmithing, Spinner and Weavers and many more historic tradespeople
- Enjoy our Beer Garden featuring German and local brews
