On Monday at 10:00 am, Memorial Day, my family and I will join others at the Germanna Memorial Garden to honor the day and those it commemorates.
I will be reading a representative selection of names of members of the Armed Forces who risked their lives defending our freedom and are now remembered by the present generation, and my children will ring the bell that has rung many times now to celebrate and remember.
If you would take a moment and e-mail me ([email protected]) the names, branch of service, and conflicts served of a family member now passed on, I would be honored to read their names amidst the engraved stones, benches, and pavers of the Germanna Memorial Garden.
