Join us on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm as Historic Germanna honors all veterans by illuminating the grounds of the Historic Germanna Visitor Center in Locust Grove, VA with luminaries and a special presentation.
We’re honored to welcome Mr. Bill Shugarts as our featured speaker. Mr. Shugarts is a Vietnam veteran and co-founder of Fawn Lake Veterans, Wilderness Community Church Veterans and Tabernacle UMC Veterans.
Interested in honoring a veteran? Sponsor a luminary for $20 each. Your donation to Historic Germanna supports the work of one of Central Virginia’s most unique public history sites. Luminaries will be identified with the veteran’s name and service and then lit on the night of the event.
Historic Germanna Visitor Center campus is located at 2062 Germanna Highway (Route 3) Locust Grove, VA 22508. Turn into the entrance of the Germanna Community College’s Locust Grove campus and make the first right at the Fort Germanna Visitor Center sign. Parking is free.
