We are so excited to announce Historic Salubroa’s first-ever summer visiting hours. Historic Germanna invites guests to immerse themselves in Salubria’s rich history and captivating architecture from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Constructed in 1757, Salubria stands as a preserved, not restored, house showcasing original wood paneling—an exceptional example of 18th-century craftsmanship. Its raw, unfurnished state offers visitors a rare glimpse into the past. Previously accessible only during seasonal open houses and scheduled tours, Salubria now opens its doors for drop-in visits.
Commencing Thursday, May 30, Historic Salubria will welcome the public on Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Guests can explore at their leisure during these hours or call ahead to arrange guided tours.
Knowledgeable Historic Germanna staff will be present to provide insights, answer questions, and lead guided tours of both the house and grounds, revealing the fascinating history of the site and its former inhabitants.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast, an architecture aficionado, or simply seeking a unique outing, Historic Salubria promises an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. Step back in time and witness history come alive.
